6lb + rainbow jack from Lake Okataina

Bill Twiss with a very nice rainbow caught fly fishing with Bruce at lake Okataina, they lost some bigger fish too.
Notice the trees in the background, normally there is a beach here. The lake is very high and they had two bigger trout take them into these trees and bust off!

Had a good day with David and Tim at the Tongariro river delta today, plenty of bites and 5 fish boated, great morning despite the inclement weather.

Nice Brown trout caught on the lower Tongariro river on a cicada dry fly.

Had a trip on the lower Tongariro with Tim from Greig Sports, we fished with cicada dry fly patterns and had a great day landing a dozen or so fish and numerous near misses.
We caught mostly Rainbow trout and also a couple of nice Brown trout aswell.

Some nice fish from lake Taupo yesterday morning even with the changeable weather, both harling and jigging was successful.

Out on Lake Taupo harling this morning with a lovely family from New Caledonia today. Caught 2 nice keepers and lost a few others, great morning!

Kenji hooked up in the rain at Lake Rotoaira.

Just spent 3 days fishing with Kenji from japan, unfortunately the weather was not the best, all the rivers were in flood and even the lakes were tough with poring rain and high water.

We spent  days fishing Lake Otamangakau and lake Rotoaira.

Kenji fished hard and managed to get fish each day and some really nice ones at that. Had a few exciting moments with big Brown trout too.
